Mikael Wiberg

Mikael Wiberg is a full professor of Informatics at Umeå University, Sweden. Previously he has held positions as chaired professor in Human-Computer Interaction at the department of Informatics & Media, Uppsala university, Sweden and he has held a position as Research Director for Umeå Institute of Design. His research interests are within the areas of individual IT use, the emerging interaction society, empirical studies of social digitalized practices, interactive architecture, and the philosophical fundamentals of computational materials. His recent research work has appeared in a number of leading journals in the area of human-computer interaction and interaction design, including e.g. International Journal of Design, ToCHI – ACM Transaction of Computer-Human Interaction, and International journal of Human-Computer Interaction. In 2005 he published the book 'The Interaction Society', in the fall of 2010 the new book entitled 'Interactive Textures for Architecture and Landscaping'.
