Heinz Mandl



Professor of Education and Educational Psychology at Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich, Dean of the Faculty of Psychology and Education (1995-2000), President of the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI;1989 –1991), Fellow of the American Psychological Association, Award for Excellent Implementation of Virtual Learning Environments to the University of Munich of the Bavarian State (Minister of Science, Research and Art) (2001), Ouvre Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Science of Learning & Instruction (EARLI) (2003).
He has been visiting Professor at: Universities of Fribourg (CH, 1999), Helsinki (F, 2000), Viseu (P, 2000), Zürich (CH, 2002), Linz (A, 2002), Teheran (IR, 2005/2006).
His research topics are Knowledge Management, E-Learning, Design of virtual learning environments, Learning Communities, Implementation & Evaluation Research.
