Michael Walch

 

is a dedicated engineer, scientist and lecturer. He works in the department of Knowledge Engineering at the University of Vienna’s Faculty of Computer Science. Michael Walch became an engineer after finishing an information technology orientated higher college. Next to working in the private sector, he finished his master’s level degree at the University of Vienna and the Technical University of Vienna. As engineer and technical consultant he was responsible for projects in the medical sector, in the timber and wood industry, in the banking and trading sector, and in government institutions. His research interests include artificial intelligence and neural networks, conceptual- and meta-modeling, and the relation and structure of ontological and epistemological models. .
